About
Since 2007, Bill has represented a broad range of clients—both plaintiffs and defendants—in all aspects of civil litigation. His practice primarily focuses on Professional Negligence and Tort Liability. Within Professional Negligence, Bill has successfully defended healthcare providers, including physicians, practice groups, hospitals, and attorneys. In the area of Tort Liability, he has achieved favorable outcomes for numerous insured clients in matters involving motor vehicle accidents, trucking negligence, premises liability for hospitals and apartment complexes, and general liability claims for businesses. His extensive experience in these fields has resulted in numerous summary dismissals and defense verdicts at trial.
Bill’s litigation background also includes securing trial verdicts in contract disputes involving physician practice groups, property disputes concerning a private airstrip, and matters involving non-compete agreements. His expertise has earned him recognition from Super Lawyers as a Mid-South Rising Star and from the American Society of Legal Advocates as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” in Litigation in Tennessee.
In addition, Bill is a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator. His experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants provides him with a balanced and insightful understanding of the issues faced by litigants on both sides of a dispute—an essential asset in facilitating successful resolutions.
A native of Tullahoma, Bill lives in Chattanooga with his wife, Cassie, their daughter, Sadie, and their son, Cooper. Outside of his professional work, he is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his family and attending sporting events.
