Annette T. Kelley

Attorney

Since joining The Hamilton Firm in 2012, Annette Kelley has worked tirelessly for fairness and justice for our clients. Her applied legal expertise, exceptional work ethic, and persistence in pursuing her clients’ best interests have helped her obtain millions of dollars in settlements for our clients. She strongly believes in building attorney client relationships that last. She is licensed to practice in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

As a child, Annette always wanted to be a lawyer, but she just didn’t know which field best suited her outgoing personality and her desire to work with people. Her passion for litigation developed after law school when she began working as a clerk for the Presiding Judge of the 10th Judicial Circuit in Birmingham, Alabama. She loved witnessing different attorneys’ styles and effectiveness in the courtroom every day. After her clerkship, she began working as an insurance defense lawyer defending automobile and professional liability claims. She spent more than a decade defending insurance companies, but grew tired of seeing injured people being treated unfairly by big companies whose primary interest was putting more money in their shareholders’ pockets. She decided to use her inside knowledge of how insurance companies evaluate and defend cases to maximize settlement outcomes for those who had suffered traumatic injuries, rather than defending those who caused the injuries.

It was also important for Ms. Kelley to find a law firm where she could spend adequate time on each client’s case, and not have hundreds of case files where she would be forced to treat her clients like numbers instead of real persons. She found a home at The Hamilton Firm, where we emphasize personal attention to clients and their families, while always striving to provide aggressive, effective and ethical representation. In her own words, “I can’t imagine a job that is more rewarding than what I am doing now. I enjoy getting to know my clients, fighting for them and making a difference in their lives.”
Annette is a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Good Shepherd School, and as an officer of the Good Shepherd ECW. Of all the things in her life, Annette is most proud of her husband, Will, and their five children. When not in the office or in court, Annette can most be often found running and hiking in the woods.
